The SFC Tracker is the most economical way to automatically collect production data from your machines.
The ShopFloorConnect Tracker is a wireless machine monitor that can be installed on any machine or production line to track machine parameters such as run time, idle time, production counts, production rate, uptime efficiency, temperature, pressure, humidity, and more.
The most outstanding trait of the SFC Tracker is its versatility. It features 4 inputs that can be configured to accept input from a variety of digital or analog signals.
Features:
- Wirelessly connects any machine to ShopFloorConnect
- Collects data automatically with no operator input required
- Significantly lower cost than comparable devices
- Four configurable inputs for digital or analog signals (input types are listed below)
Specifications:
INPUT POWER:
- 2.5 W @ 24 VDC
INPUT CONFIGURATIONS:
- Digital (NPN, or dry contact closure to ground) for cycle, parts, or scrap counters
- Digital (NPN, or dry contact closure to ground) for machine Running/Idle
- Analog voltage (±150mV, ±500mV, ±1V, ±5V, ±10V, 0-150mV, 0-500mV, 0-1V, 0-5V, or 0~10V) for process parameter monitoring with user-supplied sensors
- Analog Current (0~20mA, 4~20mA, ±20mA) for process parameter monitoring with user-supplied sensors. Current input requires a user-supplied 120Ω resistor.
USE CASE EXAMPLES
Cryogenic Chamber Monitoring
An SFC user has a series of freezers that must stay within a specific temperature range. A Tracker installed on each freezer is connected
to a temperature sensor inside the chamber. If the temperature moves outside of the specified range, SFC will send an alert to a group of users.
Compressor Monitoring
Trackers are installed on 4 air compressors in a manufacturing facility. The RUN/IDLE digital input gets a signal when the compressor is running,
and an analog input is connected to a pressure transducer to measure air pressure. The duty cycle and pressure information provided by SFC will
allow the user to modify their air usage to balance the load on the 4 compressors.
Injection Molding Machine Monitoring
An SFC user has an injection molding department where each machine is equipped with a Tracker and sensors to monitor temperature and pressure.
If either parameter goes outside of an acceptable range, the Tracker will signal SFC to send alerts to the appropriate personnel.
A Tracker is used to monitor good bends on a Press Brake that occur over a time period such as a shift or day. This can give you important efficiency information without impeding the operator with the need to enter job information or downtime reasons.
